Community Volunteer Opportunities For Annual Chile & Frijoles Festival
(PUEBLO , CO --- August 16, 2010) The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce is in the process of recruiting volunteers to help with the 16th Annual Loaf ‘N Jug Chile and Frijoles Festival. Volunteers are needed to assist at the 12 entrance gates and other areas during the festival. A training and information session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 5:00-5:30pm registration, 5:30-6:00pm information session. Complementary food and beverages will be provided.
The annual event will be held September 24, 25, and 26, 2010 from 1st Street to B Street on Union Ave. and on Grand from 1st to Santa Fe and D and C Street from Victoria to South Main . The festival draws over a 100,000 visitors and has over 150 vendors. The festival will feature 5 entertainment tents, Red and Green Chili and Salsa competition and a Jalapeno Eating competition. Free parking is available at Midtown Shopping Center and a free shuttle to the festival will be provided by Kaiser Permanente.
